I cannot believe I have been on my sisterlock journey for 29 months... This is crazy yet wonderful !!!! My hair is growing and is strong !!!! And I am spoiled rotten... I think when I go for my next retightening, I am going to dare to be different... :)

Countdown begins... I have 3 days until I receive my early Christmas present to myself. I am sooooo excited I can hardly wait... ;)) And I will make sure to take lots and lots of pictures... I know, I know... The suspense is killing me too !!!! ;;)

Ok, I have been tagged by Chosen Vessel (Abena).

I have to name 6 things or quirks about myself that I will share with the rest of my Sisterlocked family.

1. I think sometimes I am tooo perky, although I just love it. I like seeing people smile and hearing hearty laughter. I am also a HUGGER !!!!! If you don't want one, don't even come in the vicinity of my arms.. LOL !!!!

2. I can't stand when parents just let their children talk back to them or other adults... It's not cute in my book...GRRRRRR!!!!!

3. I can't go to bed without checking my Facebook, Myspace pages or my email. I am an internet junkie !!!!

4. I go into withdraws when I have not spent some quality time with my extended family....They are what keep me together(sane)..

5. I absoultely love my daughter. She is sooo funny. And reminds me waaaaaayyyyyy too much of me when I was younger. Its just amazing how everything comes full circle !!!!

6. I love to sing and dance for Jesus. My BFF said it best. Dancing is my voice as far as ministry is concerned. I love to do both. I have to stretch myself in both areas and I have to make sure that I am on point with movement and words. When I can touch someone's heart and or spirit by the gifts I have been given, it makes my heart smile.

Bonus: I wear at least 2 inch heels sometimes due to me being 4'11 without my shoes on !!! :)

Wow !!! Is all I can say... I have only had one loc with slippage this entire time... God is soo goood...... My hair has never been healthier. And my hair has grown quite a bit. I have some locs that have closed, others are just chillin'.. Lol !!!

My locs have grown so much that I have had to change the timeline for my retightenings.. It used to be every 8 weeks, now its every 6 weeks....

I have found the shampoo... that works !!!! I have found "THE ONE" !!!!!

Its Creme of Nature's Kiwi and Citrus Condition Shampoo....
And the Leave in Conditioner is FABU !!!!! It has Lemongrass and Rosemary in it.

I have truly found what works and I am too excited ~~~~ My locs feels silky smooth after I wash. I can see the shine and bounce in them as well. And my flakes aren't as obvious... :)

I need some help with shampoo. I thought I had found "the one"..But I need some more tests to be sure that I have found the right one. How many did you guys go through before you found the one that fits your texture....

Sisterlocks... My Journey

I used to have a blog where I shared pictures of entries regarding my locks.. I thought about creating another blog all together but, decided just to share how far I have come with my locks on this one :). I am almost at my 2 yr mark (21 months) with my locks and I cannot express how much I love my hair !!!! :) If you don't know what sisterlocks are, let me share a tibbit of information about them: Sisterlocks(tm) is a natural locking hair management system that allows women with tightly textured hair to take advantage of a wide range of today's hairstyles without having to alter the natural texture of their hair. Check the Sisterlocks website for complete information. :)

Here is a slide show from the beginning Oct. 06 (one wk into the lockdown journey) to March '07 .. :) Now, there is a block of time where I didn't take pics of my locs so..
